Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian TV presenter and actress. She's most famous as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. Alexandra was the sole child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was sixteen, she had been offered a variety of television roles which included the leading role in the film Downfall Youth without Youth Control. Her critically acclaimed performance in the television film made for TV Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like that of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge in the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are other Oscar nominees featuring women. Alexandra is involved in many notable projects, both nationally and internationally. For instance, the British biographical documentary Control the Greek-language drama The Dust of Time, and French historical miniseries Napoleon are among them. In addition, she was a member of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
