Matthew Matt James was born in North Carolina on December 5 1991. James is the child of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. He is the son of the Nigerian father as well as a Caucasian mother. He graduated from Sanderson High School. In 2015, he graduated with an undergraduate degree in Economics from Wake Forest University. James became famous when his appearance on The Bachelorette as a reality television star. In the year 2020, he was selected as the bachelor for The Bachelor's season 25 becoming the only African American male lead which was later aired in 2021. James is the perfect selection for the role since he's rounded, tall and has good humor. Rachael Krukconnell turned into James's love interest towards the conclusion of the season. He teamed up with the well-known dancer Arnold for season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold placed 12th in the show.
